Because the pasture areas are adjacent and received the same drone application, later differences could be evaluated with fewer weather and application variables.

Observations
We recognized it was a little late to be doing this seed mix, but needed to something established as quickly as possible.
Drone access was not limited by stumps or rough ground
Both pasture types could be treated without driving heavy equipment across the land
Seed landed on substantially different surface conditions
We had been experiencing drought conditions for months and decided to execute this seeding in time for a significant rain period in the forecast.
Interpretation
The drone reduced the equipment-access disadvantage of the stump-retained pasture. However, the remaining surface material could still affect how much seed reached exposed soil.

Drone Seeding with the only preparation being the dragging of a chain harrow across all smooth pastures
