Testing a $200 Canvas Garage for Farm Storage INCLUDES FREE PLAYBOOK!
We are testing whether an inexpensive 10-by-20-foot portable canopy can provide useful covered storage on the farm for at least one year.

Can a $200 portable canopy provide dependable covered farm storage for at least one year?
Overview:
The farm needs additional covered storage, but constructing a permanent building would require significantly more time and money. As a temporary solution, we purchased a 10-by-20-foot heavy-duty canopy storage shed with removable sidewalls and doors.
The portable garage is an inexpensive imported kit costing approximately $200. It is marketed as an all-season canopy, but our expectations are intentionally modest. We are not expecting it to perform like a permanent building. Our initial goal is for it to provide at least one year of useful service while protecting stored materials and equipment from direct sun and rain.
This experiment will document the assembly process, material quality, anchoring method, weather resistance, interior usefulness, maintenance requirements, and overall durability. We will also track whether the canopy remains secure during heavy rain, wind, summer heat, and changing seasonal conditions.
The goal is to determine whether a very inexpensive portable shelter can serve as a practical short-term storage option while the farm continues to develop more permanent infrastructure.
Current Result Summary:
We purchased a 10-by-20-foot portable canopy storage shed for approximately $200. The unit includes a metal frame, tarp-style roof, removable sidewalls, and doors.
The canopy has not yet been fully evaluated. Our initial success target is simple: provide covered storage and remain usable for at least one year without requiring major repairs or replacement.
Results will be updated after assembly and throughout normal use, with particular attention to anchoring, wind resistance, water intrusion, tarp wear, frame movement, and the condition of the structure after severe weather.
