How can I seed my pastures without expensive equipment?

Can we successfully sow seed over many acres without a tractor and commercial seeder?

Core Question:

Can we avoid the debt associated with investments in heavy equipment and commercial implements and still be successful?

Overview:

A $75 corded leaf blower, a $7 AutoZone funnel, and a few feet of duct tape. Built in an afternoon, broadcast cowpeas and Bahia across real pasture acreage. A commercial broadcast seeder runs $800–$3,000. This one works. This was the most basic design."
"The cost for us to use a contracted drone to see the pastures was done in some cases, but we wanted to compare the cost and effort of a manual seeding to avoid that cost if possible. See Experiment 5 Drone vs Tractor for details.
Our Setup Details:
We used our Side by Side to reduce the physical effort of seeding over large areas.
We had a small Jackery Solar Generator that we used as a power source.
We used this method on foot in some areas with a long extension cord. We recognized that we would not have uniform seed spread in stumped areas due to inconsistent walking paths and inefficient refill process.
Could be used in Stumped Pastures to effectively spread seed in areas inaccessible to tractor. Easily spread in areas where a tractor was just not a good idea, like along our lake site where the slope and need to not create ruts was critical. Further enhancements are possible to allow the system to suck the seed from a hopper instead of using a gravity fed funnel. Also, we used a corded blower, because we had a portable electric power source using a Jackery solar generator. We will likely test gasoline powered blowers(no recharge downtime), and cordless blowers(increased cost for batteries). We will also test multiple blowers to increase seed spread width per pass.
We will also test small inexpensive pull behind seed spreaders in a separate experiment.

Current Result Summary:

This can be an effective an inexpensive method of seeding without large equipment costs or contracted service costs.
